A feeding frenzy

The new window and door are finally finished!  Harvey loves his new perch located right in front of the bird feeder.  He sits in position every morning, watching the birds eat, flicking his tail to and fro.
The birds were going wild the other morning and we had 8 of them on the feeder at one point in time.  Perhaps it's time to get s second feeder!?!

Fruitful fruit!

Teresa bought some tomatoes the other day from the store.  After cutting into one earlier in the week, it took a second to register what was inside.  At first it appeared to be rotten, but at closer look, it was the tomato's seeds starting to sprout!
Teresa scooped out some of the seeds and proceeded to eat the otherwise perfectly normal tomato.  The following day, Eric planted the seeds into some soil.  Upon arriving home tonight, we were pleasantly surprised...
Fruitful fruit....fancy that!

Demolition begins

This morning we woke up to -11F.  It seems strange to be starting the process of knocking out the wall to place in new windows when the high of the day is 1 degree!  Talk about bad timing!

Tree Hunting

We discovered a great "cut your own" Christmas tree farm this year following a tip from a friend.  A typical Vermont adventure, back off of a snow-covered dirt road.
We cut our own tree, left money in the box, and home we went!

The Christmas Grinch

Harvey's calm stalking pose, right before he attacked the holiday berries on the banister!
